1 tsp dry active yeast
1/4 cup sugar
2 cups flour
4 tbsp melted butter
1 whole egg

-Chocolate Filling

3/4 cup whole milk
2 egg yolks
1/4 cup sugar
1 tbsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp cornstarch
1/4 cup dark chocolate chips

-Glaze

3-4 tbsp whole milk
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract or paste (fresh pods work as well)

Today I'm going to show you how to make a delicious chocolate cream filled donut with a very simple vanilla glaze. First of all you are gonna have to make your donut dough and in this recipe I can be showing you how to make it because the last recipe “my maple bacon donut” I showed you guys how. So just use the ingredients listed above this article to check what it consists of.

Once you do have the dough, you are  going to  have  flower on your working surface. Roll your dough out to about a quarter of an inch thickness and then punch that with some ring cutters and obviously at this time are not going to be punching at the center because you want as much of that dough to hold all that wonderful cream filling.

Once you do have everything all punched out, you are going to cover this with a damp cloth and let them Double in size which should take about an hour so depending on the temperature of the room (the warmer your kitchen the faster the rise) so just have a watchful eye on these donuts.

While waiting for our deodorizer to make a chocolate custard filling, in  a small sauce pot  add some whole milk, egg yolks, some vanilla extract or bean paste, some sugar and then you gonna start cooking this until it reaches 160°F and just make sure constantly whisk this on very low heat otherwise you will end up with scrambled eggs.

Next you add your cornstarch and continue cooking for an additional 5 to 6 minutes until it thickens up and turns into a custard. Then, add some chocolate chips I'm using dark chocolate just cause I really enjoy that bitter sweet flavor of the dark chocolate.

Continue whisking until all that chocolate is melted and then you put this in a piping bag and put it in the fridge for about 30 minutes just so it sets up and cools down slightly.

As far as the glaze goes, this is going to be a very simple vanilla glaze so just add a little bit of vanilla extract, wholr milk and powdered sugar to a mixing bowl. Whisk it up until thoroughly combined and depending on how thick you enjoy your glaze you can adjust this mixture with either the powder sugar or some whole milk.

Alright so once your dough has doubled in size it's time to fill the pot half wet with no oil and bring this up to 350°F and you start frying up all your dough. These take about 3 to 4 minutes to cook and flip them at least 2 to 3 times during the cooking process and once they are all done you're going to take them out let them rest on a wire rack or some dry paper.

Once they have cooled down for about ten minutes, transfer them to your piping station and you start filling up with the chocolate cream filling. Once filled by the piping bag then consider topping them with the vanilla glaze.

Once they are all glazed and set, all you can do is enjoy a beautiful and wonderful chocolate cream filled donut.
